I grew up in the central part of Mississippi, although I have traveled to many different states and have also stayed in Panama in Central America for a few months visiting family. While growing up I was involved in baseball, martial arts, boy scouts, hunting, and AJROTC. I would really like to go to all parts of Europe and parts of Asia -- Japan primarily... and perhaps China and South Korea when things cool off there haha. I am fascinated by the art and architecture from those parts of the world. I think it would be really cool to go to Australia. I went to OleMiss for a Bachelor's or Art and now I am back home in my old stomping grounds and want to meet new people.

I am searching for someone that has a good sense of humor, likes to go out and have fun doing random things, likes movies, the zoo, pool halls, someone that can be creative and just fun to be around. I hate to put any major constraints on the type of person I am looking for, because in the end you really won't know if you like someone until you have some social interaction with them.

I've lived on a permanent basis in four different states. I've driven I-75 between Tennessee and Florida far too many times to count, and I-59/20 between Jackson and Tennessee too. Once I lived 30-40 minutes from the beach and went only a few times, mostly on Friday nights, and once I witnessed bioluminescence (which is totally awesome).

I'm an INTP by a Meyers-Briggs test. I feel like that's a pretty good assessment of my personality, but I range pretty wildly according to my environment. (I suppose the same could be said of pretty much everyone.) I'm usually satisfied to be alone tinkering with my computer, and sometimes going out to the movie theater alone on occasion, but in almost every situation that I see something happen I wish I had someone to laugh about it with.

I feel that the study of foreign language improves command of language in general, and improves understanding of culture and the differences thereof. Similarly, I feel that the study of computer programming could be very helpful in understanding logic and in recognition of fallacy.

Linux is the only operating system I use at home. I use Windows at work only because, well, it's their computer, and I don't know if I could even do my job with anything that will run on Linux, to be honest. I love learning new things; in my spare time I've recently been working on a Python and XML project.

For the first time I recently went to a karaoke bar with some friends from work after a work party, and apparently I did pretty well with "Evenflow" by Pearl Jam. Ordinarily this would be very rare, but I felt that Felix Felicis knew what he was doing.

My closest siblings and I have the most awesome dry sense of humor and are quite sarcastic.

I love life...i thank god for every new day! I am easy going, drama free...and i do not want any drama. I love nature. I am kinda old fashioned and looking for an old fashioned guy. Someone who will respect me and someone who i can respect in return. I am a great mom...she is starting college in the fall!!! Woohoo!!! No empty nest syndrome for me! Lol. Well here it goes. I was in the Marine Corps for eight years. I have a lot of stories to tell about that part of my life. Mostly good ones not to many bad. Was married but it's been almost two year's since the split. So I don't consider myself a divorced man any more. Single status has been regained! I am a really friendly guy. I was born and adopted in TX, raised in Dallas and Jackson, MS. I went to McLaughlin Elementary and Vivian Hill Jr. High in Dallas and then Jackson Prep and Woodland Hills Academy in Jackson. Later, I attended Hinds Community College and then graduated with a B.A. in English from Mississippi College. I also studied Psychology and Spanish.

I wanted to be a writer initially, but found it not to be my calling. I then went back to school to try out 2 other vocations and they didn't work out either. Later, I went to Ocean Springs to live and found work at the local YMCA only to have my own paradise living near the beach destroyed by Katrina.

Now I live in Ridgeland, 15 minutes away from my parents in North Jackson and living as a first time home owner and jewelry artist with a dog I adopted in Gulfport. But I still dream every night walking on the rugged beaches of Ocean Springs...

I am very optimistic about everything. I always see the glass half full, and more than one way to accomplish a task. I always seem to root for the underdog. I see a friend in everybody, which can get me in trouble, and I am very respectful to others.

Considering what's going on in my life, I am not interested in anything romantic right now. I really only seek a friend; someone to e-mail! I would love to hear from you.
